The Russian-Thai Business Council and the National Food Institute of Thailand begin cooperation

A meeting between Vladimir Kovalev, Executive Director of the Russian-Thai Business Council (RTBC), and Payada Hanchaisuksakun, President of the National Food Institute of Thailand (NFI), took place on August 19 in Bangkok. The National Food Institute of Thailand is a specialized organization created to support and develop the country's food industry and is under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Thailand.

Vladimir Kovalev, Executive Director of the Russian-Thai Business Council (RTBC), presented information on the Council's work and shared plans to create a Russian-Thai trade platform. This platform will facilitate the development of bilateral trade between the countries, specifically by informing participants in foreign economic activity about technical barriers to trade and facilitating product certification for Russian and Thai businesses.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed promising areas of cooperation between Russian and Thai food industry organizations, including opportunities for collaboration in product certification and companies entering the two countries' markets. NFI expressed particular interest in the participation of Thai companies and food industry representatives in Russian specialized exhibitions, particularly Prodexpo, Russia's largest food exhibition.

Furthermore, the Executive Director of RTBC invited NFI representatives to participate in the II Russia-Thailand Investment Forum and MIR Festival. These events will be held in Bangkok from October 29 to 31 and will provide additional platforms for developing new business ties, allowing entrepreneurs from Russia and Thailand to present their projects and products.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in long-term cooperation and agreed to continue their working dialogue.
