The international tourism forum “Let’s Travel!” was held at All-Russian Exhibition Center (VDNH) from 10 to 14 June, attracting several hundred thousand visitors over the course of the event. The Russian-Thai Business Council (RTBC) participated with its own exhibition booth, showcasing the development of bilateral relations between Russia and Thailand, the Council’s activities in both Moscow and Bangkok, and promoting the 2nd Russian-Thai Investment Forum, which will take place in Thailand this October.
The RTBC booth also featured two of the Council’s projects in Russia: the Baggage luggage delivery service and the Thai sportswear manufacturer Warrix.
Visitors to the RTBC booth enjoyed a diverse program of activities, including prize games and lotteries, tastings of Thai delicacies, and various sports activities such as a Muay Thai masterclass and a stretching workout session. Throughout the five-day forum, the RTBC booth attracted significant public interest and welcomed a large number of visitors.
In addition, visitors were invited to participate in a survey on perceptions of Thailand. According to the results, 36% of respondents had visited the Kingdom at least once. Of those, 84% had traveled to Thailand for tourism, while 11% had lived in the country temporarily (for one month or longer). 9% had worked in Thailand, and 4% had traveled there on business trips.
Furthermore, 5% of respondents stated that they already conduct business in Thailand, while another 10% are exploring opportunities for bilateral cooperation. The sectors identified as the most promising for future Russian-Thai joint projects were tourism (53%), wellness (42%), and real estate (26%).
