The Russian-Thai Business Council (RTBC) organized a business program as part of the meeting of the Joint Russian-Thai Commission on Bilateral Cooperation

The 9th meeting of the Joint Russian-Thai Commission on Bilateral Cooperation is taking place in Moscow on August 13-14. The Russian-Thai Business Council (RTBC) organized the business program.

Vladimir Kovalev, Executive Director of the RTBC, held a briefing for business representatives attending the event. He described the Council's work to develop Russian-Thai relations. The RTBC supports bilateral projects, systematically identifies and eliminates non-tariff barriers to trade, simplifies trade procedures, and reduces the administrative burden on businesses. Furthermore, the RTBC organizes a unique business event – ​​the annual Russian-Thai Investment Forum.

A meeting with Pozh Aramwatthanon, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thailand and the Trade Council of Thailand, was held at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Vladimir Padalko, Vice President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Ivan Demchenko, Chairman of the RTBC, also participated. Agreements were reached to present Russian business opportunities to Thai entrepreneurs and to work on a new framework document for cooperation between the two business associations.

"Russia and Thailand have long maintained an active dialogue, and our countries understand each other better every year. But we still have room for improvement. The potential for economic cooperation has not yet been fully realized. I am sure, that such meetings will help us achieve this goal as quickly as possible," noted Ivan Demchenko.

The highlight of the business program was a business lunch hosted by the RTBC in honor of Sikhasak Phuangketkaew, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. Leaders of leading Russian companies participated in the event, including R-Pharm, Alfa Insurance, Russian Crab Group, and Delovaya Rossiya.

A separate meeting was held between the RTBC, the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), and the Thai-Russian Business Council.

During the day, the RTBC also organized business talks between Thai and Russian companies, including the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC), Dhiphaya Insurance, Inoue Rubber, Innovec Asia Co, Alian Technology Co, Sea Value Public Company Limited, Sber, Vision Labs, Aquateco, the Union of Dietary Supplement Manufacturers, Elementum and others.
